The 1st4sport Level 2 Diploma in Work Based Racehorse Care (Riding) is perfect for learners who are passionate about working with racehorses.
They will learn how to care for racehorses and how to carry out general stable management routines under supervision, giving them the knowledge and skills to seek roles in the horseracing industry.
With this pathway, they will also learn how to care for racehorses before and after racing, including how to exercise them under supervision.
This qualification is supported by the BHA as the trade association and employers for horseracing in the UK.
Learners will also be able to progress onto the 1st4sport Level 3 Certificate in the Principles of Horse Care and Management or the 1st4sport Level 3 Diploma in Work Based Racehorse Care and Management
Achievement of this qualification will help learners to progress to employment as a Work Rider (if choosing the Riding Pathway), Assistant Stud Groom/Stud Hand (if choosing the Breeding Pathway), or Groom/Stable Staff (if choosing the Specialist Racehorse Care Pathway)
