Overview
The 1st4sport Level 1 Diploma in Work Based Horse Care and Riding is perfect for learners who are passionate about working with horses.
They will gain the knowledge, confidence and skills required to care for and ride horses, as well as to carry out general stable management routines under supervision, enabling them to grow their skills with appropriate support on hand to guide their development and answer any questions.
This will give them a sound foundation for seeking work in the industry, as well as for future learning and development.
This qualification is supported by the BHA as the trade association and employers for horseracing in the UK.
Qualification Progression
The learner will also be able to progress onto the 1st4sport Level 2 Diploma in Work Based Horse Care, the 1st4sport Level 2 Award in Transporting Horses or the 1st4sport Level 1 Award in Equestrian Coaching.
Achievement of this qualification will help learners progress to the following job roles:
