Overview

The ECB Advanced Coach (1st4sport Level 3) presents an indispensable opportunity for cricket coaches to further develop their coaching skills.

With this qualification, they will learn how best to help players improve their skills and performance, enhancing their ability to coach individuals, units and teams.

This will improve their opportunities for employment in the recreational and professional game.

This qualification is supported by the ECB and the County Cricket Boards as employers of cricket coaches.

Qualification Progression

Learners may choose to develop their skills by participating in continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities offered by the ECB which include:

  • Workshops
  • Webinars
  • Conferences.
  • ECB Coaches Association membership.
Following a period of practice as a qualified coach working in an appropriate environment, learners may wish to progress to the ECB Specialist Coach programme.

This qualification may lead to paid or voluntary roles as a coach or they may wish to explore other industry-relevant roles which include:

  • Player Pathway Officer or Manager
