Overview
This qualification aims to upskill the existing coach education workforce with current, insight-informed learning and development, while also supporting new entrants into the profession. It promotes a flexible, adaptable, and individualised approach to coaching education and development. Individuals must have access within their current role to quality assessments for qualifications, accredited programmes of study with assessments, or job-related assessments in the relevant coaching environment and have evidence of relevant safeguarding training and DBS checks.
The qualification is designed to support both coach education activities in a range of settings allowing holiday club, sports club coaching, performance coaching, and community coaches educators to progress and develop their skills to deliver linked and progressive sessions to small groups or whole classes
Qualification Progression
Having gained further experience in coach education and development practice, learners could progress to the 1st4sport Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice
This qualification may lead to paid or voluntary roles within sports and physical activity environments
