Overview

The 1st4sport Level 3 Certificate in Coaching Judo is relevant for learners aspiring to develop high-level Judo players, including for existing Level 2 Judo coaches keen to develop their coaching skills in Judo.

They will gain the skills and knowledge required to support the development of high-level Judo players, including how to produce detailed plans for a discrete cycle.

Learners should seek CPD options from British Judo to keep their knowledge current.

This qualification is supported by the NSG for Judo, comprised of the National Governing Bodies (British Judo Association, JudoScotland, Welsh Judo Association and the Northern Ireland Judo Federation) as the trade association and employers for Judo. It is also endorsed by UK Coaching.

Gives learners the knowledge and skills to profile participants and identify current and potential level of performance and development

Qualification Progression

The skills and knowledge developed through this qualification may be used to enable learners to progress to other industry-relevant qualifications in coaching other sports, supporting PE in school sport and sports development. Learners should seek CPD options available from British Judo to keep their knowledge current.

This qualification leads to paid or voluntary roles in coaching the sport of Judo in a variety of settings including working as a head coach within a Judo club, a Dojo, in schools and in colleges.
