Overview
The 1st4sport Level 3 Certificate in Coaching (Bowls) is ideal for learners interested in coaching Bowls, with an eye to the development of coaching programmes.
With this qualification, they will be ready to take responsibility for the planning, delivering, and evaluating long-term coaching programmes in Bowls, typically following an annual cycle.
They will develop a key understanding of the practical and theoretical aspects of planning, delivering, and evaluating coaching programmes in Bowls.
If your learner is under the age of 18, they will be able to deliver this as part of a larger coaching team.
If your learner is over the age of 18, they will be able to deliver this independently.
This qualification is recognised as the industry standard Level 3 qualification for the coaching of Bowls by the Bowls Development Alliance, and UK Coaching.
Qualification Progression
This qualification could lead to learners completing sport-specific coaching qualifications at level 3 or above. The skills and knowledge developed through this qualification may also be used enable them to progress to other industry-relevant qualifications in coaching sports, activity leadership, supporting PE in school sport and sports development
This qualification may lead to employment, paid or voluntary, as a lead coach in a Bowls setting such as a sports club or holiday activity programme
