If you're interested in offering a qualification that allows people to independently coach strength and conditioning for sport coaching sessions, then this is the ideal qualification to add to your provision.

The 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Strength and Conditioning will give your learners the skills and competencies needed to plan, deliver and evaluate linked and progressive strength and conditioning for sport coaching sessions for adults and young people.

The qualification offers a key, foundational introduction to the principles and practice of safe, ethical, and effective management and coaching of strength and conditioning.

Qualification Progression

Following a period of practice as a qualified coach, learners may choose to develop their skills by progressing to the; 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing or 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Weight Lifting. Learners may also wish to complete the 1st4sport Level 3 Certificate in Coaching Strength and Conditioning for Sport, 1st4sport Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training.

This qualification may lead to paid or voluntary roles as a strength and conditioning coach or they may wish to explore other industry-relevant roles which include:

  • Sports Volunteer
  • Personal Trainer
