Overview

The 1st4sport Level 3 Certificate in Coaching Mountain Biking is a minimum requirement for coaches interested in developing and delivering training programmes for individual mountain bike riders.

With this qualification, learners will gain an advanced knowledge of the principles and practice of safe, ethical, and effective management and coaching of mountain biking programmes, suitable for working with individual riders.

It will also prepare learners to take responsibility for:

  • the ongoing development of participants
  • the growth of the sport locally, regionally or nationally.
If your leaners are interested in becoming an independent cycling coach, then this qualification is the perfect next step on their coaching journey.

This qualification is recognised as the industry standard Level 3 qualification for mountain bike coaches by British Cycling, the national governing body for cycling in the UK.
