Overview
The 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Volleyball is ideal for learners aspiring to build a career in volleyball coaching.
They will learn how to plan, deliver, and evaluate a series of linked and progressive volleyball coaching sessions independently, although they may work as part of a larger coaching team.
They will develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to support the people who attend their sessions in a club environment.
The qualification is recognised as the industry standard Level 2 qualification for coaching volleyball by the National Source Group of Volleyball, which is composed of the constituent National Governing Bodies (NGBs) for volleyball in the UK:
- British Volleyball.
- Volleyball England.
- Scottish Volleyball Association.
- Volleyball Wales.
- Northern Ireland Volleyball.

Qualification Progression
The skills and knowledge developed through this qualification may also be used enable you to progress to other industry-relevant qualifications in coaching other sports, leadership, supporting PE in school sport and sports development. Following a period of practice as a qualified Level 2 coach, learners may also choose to follow a programme of training for the 1st4sport Level 3 Certificate in Coaching (Sport and Physical Activity).
This qualification leads to paid or voluntary roles in coaching volleyball within a club environment, either working independently, or as part of a larger coaching team.
