Overview

The 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching (Wrestling) is ideal for learners interested in coaching wrestling and in having responsibility for the planning, delivery, and evaluation of linked and progressive coaching sessions.

They will learn about the practical and theoretical aspects of planning, delivering, and evaluating sessions, either working independently or as part of a team.

This will ensure that they have the knowledge and skills to deliver enjoyable and rewarding sessions to participants.

Technical experts from the British Wrestling Association have provided technical advice in the development of this qualification, which is supported by the British Wrestling Association.

It is recognised as the industry standard Level 2 qualification for coaches by UK Coaching and is aligned to the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) professional standard for Coach.

Gives learners the knowledge, confidence, and skills to plan, deliver and review a series of linked and progressive wrestling coaching sessions

Qualification Progression

Learners could progress on to the 1st4sport Level 3 Certificate in Coaching (Sport and Physical Activity) The skills and knowledge developed through this qualification may also be used to progress to other industry-relevant qualifications in coaching sport, activity leadership, supporting PE in school sport or sports development.

This qualification may lead to paid or voluntary roles as a wrestling coach at this level. Other roles that the learner may consider exploring include Activity Leader, Official and Sports Volunteer.
