The Level 1 Award in Coaching Cycling is the first step of the ladder on the British Cycling education pathway.
With this qualification, your learners will be able to plan, deliver and evaluate a safe portion of a session with guidance and support, assisting a Level 2 coach.
They will learn the practical and theoretical aspects of coaching cycling and develop an understanding of the safe, ethical, and effective management of cycling sessions for riders of all ages.
This qualification is recognised as the industry standard Level 1 qualification for coaching cycling by British Cycling, the national governing body for cycling in the UK.
Following a period of practice as a qualified Level 1 coach, learners may choose to follow a programme of training for the 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Cycling or such qualifications as the 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Learning in Physical Education and School Sport.
This qualification leads to paid or voluntary roles in coaching the sport of cycling in schools, colleges and local cycling clubs.
