A former professional player on the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Tour, Annacone reached as high as the number 12 world ranking in singles and the number 3 ranking in doubles. He has been a player representative on the ATP Board of Directors, and has served as managing director of the United States Tennis Association's (USTA) High Performance Division.
