  • Medicine balls have been used for conditioning for well over a century. Traditionally large solid weights bound with leather, they now come in varied sizes and weights and are usually made of plastic and filled with rubber or fluids.

Medicine balls have many advantages over free weights. Shaped like a sports ball, they can be used for sport-specific exercises as well as being thrown or balanced upon to vary workouts. They improve stability, speed, power and fitness as well as being a good conditioning tool.

I am not an athlete or sports person . I bought this video as I couldn't find any CDs with exercises using the Medicine Ball and did not want to keep using You Tube to see Medicine Ball exercises! I think the Video is very useful and I am very pleased with it - I only wish it was a CD and not video...which is why I am giving it a 4 rating.
