Overview:
The easiest exercise and form of enjoyment is walking. The step counter will help you integrate exercise into your everyday life. It is easy to use – just enter your personal data and start walking. You can see how many steps you have taken, how many miles/kilometres you have walked and the calories you burned during walking.
Wearing a step counter will hopefully motivate people from all walks of life to slowly increase the number of steps they take.
Remember:
After 10 minutes of walking at a consistent pace, the body starts to feel the benefits. 10 minutes just three times a day is enough to make a true physiological change for the better.
The number of calories used to run or walk four miles is approximately the same.

The British Heart Foundation (BHF) suggests that 37 per cent of coronary heart disease deaths are directly related to insufficient physical activity. Walking is a relaxing and enjoyable way to keep healthy and, as it requires no equipment or expense, it is a perfect way to get more exercise. Apart from coronary heart disease, regular walking can also reduce the risks of developing other health conditions (eg Type II diabetes, high blood pressure and osteoporosis). Current BHF are that every individual should walk 10,000 steps a day to maintain an acceptable level of health and fitness; evidence suggests that most of us walk between 3000 and 4000 steps per day.
